So, crowns can be used to accomplish a variety of different goals. Sometimes people come in with broken front teeth, we can use crowns to give them back their full smile. Other times crowns serve just a functional purpose where someone’s got a broken tooth in the back or a big filling that’s crumbling on them, and we can use crowns to, you know, restore that tooth for the long haul, so it lasts for a long time.
So, I think the biggest thing is just, you know, it comes down to something as simple as communication and just talking to people, and just letting them talk, and figuring out what they want out of their dental care. You know, you can learn a lot just from talking to people. And so, what I’ll do is I’ll listen, figure out what they want, offer…I usually give people several different choices, whether it’s fixed, removable, or semi-fixed removable, you know, we can figure out a treatment plan together.
