Protect Your Smile From Gum Disease
So gum disease happens when the bacteria in your mouth kind of start to overrun and your body isn’t able to wash them away anymore and get rid of them. And so your body responds by receding the gums and the bone around your teeth. As a response to that we get deep pocketing of our gums which is really hard for us to clean with toothbrushes and floss.
To help with gum disease we usually start our patients off with more frequent recall visits where we do deeper cleanings of the teeth and in addition to that we can also add some antimicrobial rinses to the water that’s being used during these cleanings to help get rid of the bacteria. In those pocketing we also offer laser debridement which kills the bacteria in the pockets not just washes them out. Our top priority here is keeping everyone’s mouth healthy and keeping patients happy with their smiles.
